Notes from April 2025

  • The future is inevitable; what is needed now are concrete steps toward healing as a collective, not a fight for futuristic vision (must look to the present!)

  • Culture as collective memory

  • Romanticizing the Motherland? Second gen. in exile as wistful, moving back to regain a sense of identity that is lost

  • BUT no such thing as overblown romantasy, it is a true thing to connect with where one came from, where their family came from
